Job summary

Gestamp, a leading multinational automotive supplier, is seeking a Quality Engineer in Alabama to own product and process quality throughout the lifecycle. You will lead quality planning, customer satisfaction initiatives, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with both customer and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

BS or AS in a technical field with related quality experience.
Experience with GD&T and SPC in stamping/robotic assembly.
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS, and problem solving.
Ability to work in a team-based lean manufacturing environment.
Moderate to advanced computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

Review and deploy customer-specific requirements and ensure process compliance.
Oversee welding parameter validation, process controls, and audits.
Validate specialty material applications and perform capability studies.
Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Charts.
Monitor quality performance, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Prepare PPAP documentation and support customer audits.
