Position Summary

ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to support both New Product Development and in-production product quality. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure products meet design intent, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Job Description
Product Development
  • Participate in requirements reviews and embed quality criteria early in design.
  • Drive design for Manufacturability (DFM) and process development for scalable production.
  • Evaluate prototypes and support final product validation.
  • Develop quality control plans and inspection criteria.
  • Support pilot builds and launch readiness reviews.
  • Monitor post‑launch performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Lead first Article processes for New Products and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Support risk analysis (FMEA) and cross‑functional deliverables.
Production Quality & Monitoring
  • Manage in‑production quality control and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct internal testing and analyze customer returns to identify trends and root causes.
  • Monitor customer and consumer quality and resolve quality alerts.
  • Lead CAPS (Corrective Action & Problem Solving) for internal and external product issues.
  • Support regulatory compliance with applicable standards, partnering with the EHS&S Specialist.
  • Assist with supplier qualification, audits, performance reviews, and process improvements.
  • Support supplier quality training and issue resolution.
  • Support OEM projects as needed.
  • Maintain tooling tracking for ITW‑owned tooling.
  • Key member of the internal audit team for quality management system
  • Administrator of retail eQMS system.
  • Manage internal instrument/equipment calibration program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, engineering, product development, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, SPC, and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action and problem‑solving systems, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with quality software tools and ERP systems.
Compensation Information:

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Bonus based on individual and business performance with a target bonus range of 8% annually.
