Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Product Owner for the Digital Foundation to define and prioritize product requirements, translate business needs into actionable technical solutions, and ensure delivery of high-value products that support AbbVie's R&D Digital Foundation.

You will bridge business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners, lead complex initiatives, manage the backlog, write user stories, and guide agile ceremonies to drive adoption and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years experience, or Master’s/PhD with applicable experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional workstreams and prioritization.
• Experience with Agile software development and APIs/cloud integrations.
• Healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments background.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple workstreams within enterprise transformation and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment to business priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to assess business needs, define action plans, and implement solutions that improve organizational performance.
• Support AI-enabled and technology-driven initiatives by developing adoption strategies to encourage stakeholder engagement with tools and applications.
• Own andmaintainthe product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned to businessobjectives.
• Translate complex business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable requirements for technical teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, QA, and business partners to support successful product development and delivery.
• Lead or support sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and other agile ceremonies as needed.
• Monitor product performance, gather feedback, andidentifyopportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Communicate product vision, roadmap, priorities, risks, and release plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Drive change management and adoption efforts for newdigital foundationproducts, tools, and processes.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with 7years’ experience; or Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; or PhD with 2 years’ experience
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional workstreams, managing multiple priorities, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to develop concise presentations, synthesize insights, and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
• Experience working with software engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, system integrations, or cloud-based products
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments

Preferred:

• Experience with product management tools such as Jira,Confluence, or similar platforms preferred.
