I’m reaching out regarding an Engagement Operations Team Product Owner opportunity supporting a U.S. Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) program in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Overview

The Product Owner will support the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS), Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office and will be responsible for prioritizing and validating software development for the Engagement Operations (EO) team.

This role will work closely with Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Program Management teams to establish priorities for capabilities and defects across product increments and sprints. The PO will also provide technical briefings and recommendations to leadership regarding program status, risks, performance, competing capabilities, and mission impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and validate software development activities for the Engagement Operations team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to the software development team.
• Work with Program Management to establish priorities for capabilities and defects during product increments and sprints.
• Work directly with Agile software developers and verify completed work against established acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership.
• Assess and communicate program status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and mission impacts.

Basic Qualifications

• Understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts, including:
• Engagement planning and scheduling
• Target selection
• Sensor resource management
• Ability to provide oversight to an EO software development team.
• Ability to work directly with Agile software developers.
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office toolset.
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree from an accredited college/university, preferably ABET-accredited, in Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing relevant duties.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
