Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams. The Content Platforms & Operations Media Product & Software Engineering Team is seeking a Product Manager II to own the planning and delivery of products that power how content is programmed and scheduled across Disney's linear networks and streaming platforms. In this role, you'll work hands-on with engineering, design, and business partners to ship quality products, make data-informed decisions, and see your work come to life across Disney's networks. You'll operate with autonomy over your feature area and drive toward measurable outcomes. Success requires thriving in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, with a strong attention to detail and a bias toward execution.


Responsibilities


  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience required

  • Utilize modern product discovery methods to gain a deep understanding of the problem space and to understand user needs

  • Write, prioritize, and refine user stories and product requirements with clear acceptance criteria

  • Manage maintenance and prioritization of product backlog, ensuring transparent, well aligned and justified prioritization within your area of responsibility

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver features that create value for the business

  • Key participant of daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews, and retrospectives

  • Own system processes, user guides, and training materials

  • Develop a basic understanding of technical architecture

  • Track feature-level metrics and drive measurable improvements (e.g., adoption, workflow efficiency)

  • Assist in process alignment and standardization efforts

  • Build domain expertise in your product area


Basic Qualifications


  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably within digital and/or media supply chains

  • Hands-on experience managing feature backlogs, writing user stories, and delivering features through Agile/Scrum processes

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple features simultaneously, and hit sprint goals consistently

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to create clear documentation and present updates to stakeholders

  • Ability to incorporate data and user research into product decisions

  • Familiarity with product discovery techniques and ability to identify user pain points and propose enhancements

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, and operations teams

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive environments


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience within the media and entertainment industry

  • Experience utilizing AI tooling and models in product development


#DISNEYTECH


The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles and Bristol, CT is $117,500 - $157,500 and in New York, NY, is $123,000 - $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
