Job summary

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking a Product Metallurgist to join a safety‑driven, high‑performing team on the Brandenburg, KY site. You will support order entry, maintain technical standards, and provide customer and internal technical guidance across inquiry, production, and final product feedback.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and US work authorization; visa sponsorship is not offered. Plate steel experience is a plus.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking qualified applications for the posting of Product Metallurgist. Principal duties include, but are not limited to:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Ensuring order entry is correct from a technical aspect.

Understanding and maintaining system and standards for order entry.

Providing technical support to customers and commercial teammates from inquiry to production to product feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent technical/engineering related steel production experience Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
