Job description

About Eon

Eon is redefining what cloud data protection can be. Founded by the team behind CloudEndure, Eon is building a new category around protecting, managing, and unlocking the value of enterprise backup data.

We work with some of the world’s largest companies to make their cloud backup and recovery data more accessible, searchable, secure, and AI-ready. With $500M raised from leading investors including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenoaks, BOND, and Elad Gil, Eon is at an exciting stage of rapid growth.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can understand highly technical products, identify what truly differentiates them, and turn that into compelling positioning, messaging, and go-to-market programs.

This is a hands‑on role with significant ownership across positioning, product launches, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and GTM execution. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, and the broader Marketing team.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Eon’s products, from product launches and campaigns to messaging, positioning, and sales enablement.

  • Own product positioning and messaging, translating complex concepts across cloud infrastructure, backup and recovery, data protection, resilience, and AI‑ready data into clear customer value.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Eon’s products, customers, and technical differentiation and turn that knowledge into compelling stories for different audiences.

  • Conduct customer and market research to understand customer needs, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

  • Build and maintain competitive intelligence and positioning against both established vendors and emerging companies across data protection, cloud infrastructure, and adjacent markets.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to understand the roadmap, influence launch strategy, and ensure our messaging accurately reflects the product and its differentiation.

  • Work closely with Sales, Solutions, and Customer Success to create sales enablement materials, competitive guidance, training, presentations, demos, and other customer‑facing assets.

  • Create and develop product marketing content across websites, campaigns, blogs, reports, videos, presentations, and other channels, working with internal teams and external creative partners where needed.

  • Partner with the broader Marketing team on campaigns and integrated GTM initiatives that drive awareness, pipeline, and customer engagement.

  • Monitor product and campaign performance and use data, customer feedback, and market signals to continuously improve positioning, messaging, and GTM execution.

  • Use AI‑native tools as part of your day‑to‑day workflow for research, competitive intelligence, content development, analysis, experimentation, and productivity.

What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years of relevant B2B product marketing experience, ideally in cloud infrastructure, data protection, backup and recovery, cybersecurity, or AI infrastructure.

  • Strong technical foundation, with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.

  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical products and translate them into simple, differentiated, and compelling customer‑facing stories.

  • Proven experience taking technical B2B products to market, including positioning, messaging, launches, competitive strategy, and sales enablement.

  • Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, and Marketing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts without losing technical depth or credibility.

  • Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and positioning.

  • Hands‑on experience using modern AI tools in day‑to‑day marketing workflows, with genuine curiosity about how AI is changing the way products are built and marketed.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving startup environment where priorities evolve and you’re expected to take ownership rather than wait for instructions.

  • Data‑driven and comfortable using performance metrics, customer feedback, and market signals to make decisions.

  • Strong bias toward action, with the ability to move from strategy to execution quickly.

The annual base salary range is $155,000 - $190,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is just one component of our Compensation Philosophy. Variable/Bonus Compensation & Equity Incentives align with individual and company performance."
