Job summary

The Minnesota Star Tribune is seeking a Product Management Intern to join our Product & Technology team at our Minneapolis headquarters. From June to August 2027, you will contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle, working with seasoned product managers to shape digital products for local journalism.

• Assist in defining product strategy and identifying opportunities to enhance user experiences and business outcomes.
• Contribute to planning, refinement, and execution of new features and enhancements.
• Conduct competitive research and analyze industry trends to inform decisions.
• Develop user communication strategies for product launches and adoption.
• Help establish and track OKRs to measure product success.
• Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality and readiness for launch.

Join our Product & Technology team as a Product Management Intern at our headquarters in Minneapolis MN from June to August 2027. Gain hands‑on experience shaping digital products that support local journalism. Working alongside experienced product managers, you’ll contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept and strategy to development and optimization. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across news, advertising, audience growth, and marketing while working on meaningful projects tailored to your unique skills, interests, and career goals.

• Take ownership of meaningful projects tailored to individual interests, skills, and career goals while building expertise in product management and digital media.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts, tools, and technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
• Track record of collaborating effectively with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and eager to take initiative on new challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0‑1, TM, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Compensation Range

The hourly pay rate for this internship is $22.55.
