Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy and commercial performance of our software and equipment products. You will own product P&L, drive growth, and align direction with market opportunities, leveraging insights to deliver value-driven solutions.

In this role you’ll partner with Product Owners, enable GTM execution, and collaborate across engineering, sales, marketing, and support in an Agile environment. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; MBA is a plus.
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Product Owner with a development team.
  • Experience managing product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with customer-driven innovation or stage-gate frameworks.
  • Experience delivering software product management in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).

Job Description

The Product Manager leads the strategy and drives the commercial performance of a portfolio of software and equipment products, while partnering with Product Owners to ensure effective execution. This role owns product P&L, drives growth, and aligns product direction with business goals and market opportunities. Leveraging customer and market insights, the Product Manager defines value-driven solutions, supports go-to-market execution, and partners cross-functionally to deliver high-impact results. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence, lead, and execute across teams in an Agile environment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Vision
    • Define and own the long-term product vision and multi-year roadmap across product lines (e.g., IntelliVIEW, eShop, Equipment Software)
    • Lead the 3P-STP-5P marketing strategy (Customer, Competitor, Company; Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning; Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People) for each product category
  • P&L Ownership & Business Performance
    • Own product-level P&L, including revenue growth, profitability, and market penetration
    • Monitor product performance metrics and adjust strategy to maximize value and ROI
  • Market & Customer Insight Leadership
    • Lead deep market analysis including CM/LBM trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies (e.g., automation, CAD/CAM, cloud solutions)
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) & Commercial Enablement
    • Develop and support go-to-market strategies for new products and major releases
    • Enable sales teams through training on product positioning, competitive differentiation, and objection handling
  • Sales & Customer Engagement
    • Participate in key customer meetings, sales cycles, and industry events to support growth and gather insights
    • Build and maintain relationships with strategic accounts and industry influencers
  • Portfolio & Stakeholder Leadership
    • Propose and prioritize product investments based on ROI, customer impact, and strategic alignment
    • Communicate product vision, strategy, and performance to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Ensure alignment across Product Owners, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Operations
    • Translate business strategy into clear direction for Product Owners and delivery teams

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a comparable discipline; an MBA is a plus
  • 6+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner with a development team
  • Experience in product management with ownership of product strategy and product roadmaps
  • Familiarity with Customer-Back Innovation (CBI) or similar stage-gate frameworks
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred
  • Software Product strategy and management experience with demonstrated value delivery
  • Experience with complex customer environments and/or relevant industry experience
  • Experience leading software product development in an Agile environment leveraging frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe
  • Strong team/project management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
  • Up to 25% travel
Compensation Information

$90,000 - $140,000 (high level of experience)

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
