A day in the life

The primary role of a PMT within Amazon is to assume end-to-end product ownership over one of our technical product offerings. PMTs are expected to dive deep into the technology both from a product and customer perspective, working with software engineers and business partners to define, build, launch and grow new technology-driven products and services. With input from business stakeholders, they develop business and product requirements, prioritize needs, and manage milestones and overall roadmap.

Examples of organizations where PMTs may work include (but aren’t limited to): Amazon Web Services (AWS), Prime Video, Alexa, Game Services, and Supply Chain Technologies.

About the team

• Most roles for this position will be located at Amazon’s company headquarters in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Successful applicants will be expected to relocate to their team location upon starting at Amazon.
• Role and team placement are based on business needs and as Amazon continues to grow and flex, we are looking for candidates who want to own, build and impact the customer experience rather than are tied to a specific role or team.
• Internship start dates will be between May-June 2027 for a 12-week, consecutive internship.

Basic Qualifications

• Are 18 years of age or older
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
• Currently enrolled in MBA program with expected graduation conferral date between December 2027 - June 2028

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional work (non-internship) experience
• Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and working cross-functionally
• A background in product management, solution design, machine learning applications, and software services is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
