Job summary

Chime's Trust & Safety team is seeking a Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Transaction Risk Decisioning. You will shape risk controls for card payments, ACH, P2P, and other money movement surfaces, partnering with engineering, analytics, risk, operations, and platform teams to reduce fraud and improve approval rates.

You will translate complex risk and policy challenges into clear product strategies, design risk signals and decision checkpoints, and ensure a safe yet

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager with a deep expertise in payments risk.
• Ability to frame risk tradeoffs in terms of business impact, not just fraud loss.
• Strong track record bringing leadership to ambiguous problems and shaping roadmaps.
• Ability to translate complex risk and platform challenges into clear strategy.
• Experience with policy-driven, data-dependent systems that affect member journeys.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy to reduce transaction declines and increase authorization rates.
• Launch new controls for emerging fraud patterns across money movement rails.
• Redesign decline flows to improve recovery for good members while containing bad actors.
• Collaborate with analysts, data science, Compliance, Legal and engineers to improve risk signals.
• Partner with member support teams to make risk outcomes understandable and actionable for members.
• Help launch new financial products safely by designing safeguards, fallbacks, and monitoring.
