Job summary

Revel is seeking a Product Manager to own a core area of the Revel platform. You will shape the product vision, define a strategic roadmap, and work closely with customers, engineers, and leadership to deliver end-to-end results.

You’ll operate at the intersection of software and hardware testing, translating insights into actionable plans and tangible improvements. You’ll partner with the CEO and Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure everything ships with high quality and clear timing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management and/or engineering experience.
• Experience taking user feedback and synthesizing it into deliverables.
• Experience coordinating engineers to execute on a product vision.
• Track record of building internal alignment for engineering/product initiatives.
• Demonstrable track record of shipping features from backlog to launch.

The Role

Revel is hiring a Product Manager to own a core area of the Revel platform.

Revel is the software layer between engineers and the hardware they're testing: configuring instruments, running tests, reviewing what came back, and deciding whether a system is ready. Every part of that is under active development. You'll own one of those areas end to end: what gets built and in what order. You'll be working with customers and our team to build a roadmap, not executing on a plan someone else wrote.

What You’ll Do

• Own an area of the platform or take a new product space from conception to launch
• Develop the vision and strategic roadmap of a product area by identifying user needs, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes
• Translate strategy into action by creating product requirement documents to align stakeholders, defining key milestones, and overseeing execution for the development team
• Collaborate directly with the CEO, Head of Product, and Forward Deployed Engineers
• Use the product the way customers do, work with real test data and hardware configurations yourself, and build your product judgement

Who You Are

• You’ve built and shipped products for technical users, with deep user empathy and a high bar for quality
• You can pick up an unfamiliar technical domain quickly and go deep
• You’re just as comfortable getting in the weeds with engineers as you are going on-site with users, presenting to leadership, or diving deep into designs

Must-Haves

• 4+ years of product management and/or engineering experience
• Experience taking user feedback and synthesizing it into deliverables
• Experience coordinating engineers to execute on a product vision
• Track record of building internal alignment for engineering/product initiatives
• Demonstrable track record of shipping (able to walk through features taken from backlog to launch)

Plusses

• Experience building or working on software for hardware systems
• Design/prototyping capability with ability to iterate independently
• Experience with complex, interactive software (e.g. CAD, simulation environments)
• Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, advanced manufacturing, energy, or automotive
• Experience operating in a fast-paced hardware testing environment
