The Account Lifecycle Risk team is part of the Risk Platform team and is responsible for building systems and solutions that safeguard our customers’ accounts from unauthorized access, focusing specifically on Account Integrity and preventing Account Takeover (ATO) attacks. You will partner closely with the Trust and Safety Analyst Investigations team to identify patterns, risks, and vulnerabilities, and build trust-driven features that help secure customer assets and identities. Building trust is one of Coinbase’s highest priorities, and protecting customer accounts is critical to that mission. As the Product Manager for this team, you’ll own a key part of Coinbase’s account protection stack and work at the intersection of Risk, Trust, and cutting edge crypto technologies.

What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties)

• Drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for account integrity and account takeover prevention initiatives.
• Develop user trust-building solutions, define and track KPIs that measure improvements in account safety and reductions in account takeover incidents.
• Collaborate deeply with Trust & Safety analysts, Engineering, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams(legal, finance, strategic programs) to detect and mitigate ATO threats.
• Translate analyst feedback and investigative insights into scalable product and platform improvements.
• Lead experiments to validate new account protection features and proactively close vulnerabilities.

What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements)

• 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in account integrity, fraud prevention, risk management, security, or trust & safety domains.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering, data science, operations, and risk teams.
• Strong technical acumen, ability to understand platform APIs, security protocols, and risk signals.
• Highly analytical, you can dig into user behavior data and threat detection metrics to drive product decisions.
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills, especially under fast-moving conditions.
• A passion for building trustworthy and customer-centric experiences.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with account security, ATO prevention, identity management, or crypto/web3 security.
• Hands-on familiarity with machine learning signals or detection systems in a risk environment.
• Previous experience working at a fintech, exchange, or crypto company.
• Understanding of customer authentication, secure recovery flows, and account lifecycle best practices.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$180,370—$212,200 USD
