Job summary

Google Mountain View, CA, USA, is seeking a Product Manager II for the Geo Guidance Experience to lead cross-functional efforts from conception to launch, aligning engineering and business needs to deliver scalable navigation features.

You will define product strategy and roadmaps for maps navigation, partnering with leadership to drive execution through launches and iterations with a platform-first approach for personalized driving experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
• Experience as a product manager focused on consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Develop metrics and experiments to evaluate and improve guidance quality, helping drivers easily follow their routes.
• Adapt the guidance experience for varying scenarios, such as familiar commutes versus unfamiliar destinations.
• Scale the navigation guidance experience to additional languages and countries.
• Evolve the guidance experience for autonomous and assisted driving platforms.
• Partner with cross-functional Engineering, User Experience, Data Science, and Program Management teams to drive the product lifecycle from design through launch and iteration.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
