Job Description:

Grata is part of Datasite, the platform that runs a large share of the world’s M&A processes. That combination gives us a rare position: Grata knows the privatecompanyuniverse, andDatasite sees how dealsactually getdone. Derived Intelligence is the team that turns that proprietary data into new products.

We’relooking for a Product Manager to own Derived Intelligence – the datasets, scores, andsignals we build on top of raw data. The portfolio covers derived scores, behavioral signals, andmarket indices that tell customers which private companies are likely to transact, who is likely to buy, andwhere the market is heading. You will define what these products measure, work with data science to buildandvalidatethe models behindthem, andpackage them into the Grata platformandour MCP tooling.

The core of the job isboth analyticalandcreative: looking at proprietary data across Grata, Datasite, andthe wider Datasite family, andseeing a product in it thatadds valueforcustomers theycan’tget anywhere else. The role requires rigor indefining what a scoreor signalmeans, measuring accuracy, setting requirements, anditeratingas usage scales.

You will work closely with data scientists, machine learninganddata engineers, full stack engineers, design, product marketing, andthe commercial team. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, excels in a fluid environment, andtransforms ambiguity into clear solutions. The ideal candidate is also deeply customer-obsessed, ensuring that their work consistently aligns withandaddresses customer needs.

If you’re passionate about building innovative products, shaping the future of Grata’s data, and driving real impact for users, we’d love to hear from you. Grata is a hybrid company, which means our employees work from our NYC office (in Columbus Circle) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

At Grata, we will expect you to:

  • Own the Derived Intelligence roadmap: decide which derived datasets, scores, andsignals to build, in what order, how we build within the MCPandin user experiences across our agentic platform, andhoweach oneimpacts customersandour business in support of our annual goals

  • Partner with data scientists on predictiveandbehavioral models – framing the problem, defining labelsandevaluation, andjudging when a model isaccurateenough to put in front of customers

  • Find new product opportunities in proprietary data across Grata, Datasite, andthe wider Datasite family, working through coverage, refresh, anddata rights constraints

  • Defineanddefend metric definitions: what a score means, how it is calculated, what it claims, andwhat it does not

  • Build a deep understanding of dealmaker workflows, pain points, andbehaviors by partnering with commercial teamsandconducting user researchanddata analysis

  • Develop strategic roadmaps with clear milestonesandmeasurable metrics to achieve ambitious goalsandtrack progress effectively

  • Work across data science, machine learning, design, engineering, andproduct marketing to defineandship the roadmap

  • Prioritize initiatives ruthlessly using acustomer-centricanddata-driven approach to maximize impactanddeliver customer value

  • Craft detailed requirements informed by customer conversations, usage data analysis, anditerative feedback from designandengineering teams

  • Establish yourself as the go-to expertandtrusted leader for the product area, building credibility through ownershipandresults

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsandexecutive stakeholders, distilling complex ideas into clear insights that drive alignment across the organization

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • Excellent writtenandverbal communication

  • Strong hands-on data fluency: comfortable in SQL, able to pullandanalyze a dataset yourself to form a point of view before asking anyone else to

  • Experience shipping data products where the data itself is the product – derived metrics, scores, signals, enrichment, or analytics features

  • Experience partnering with data scientists on predictive or statistical models, including how you defined successanddecided the model was ready

  • A track recordof finding a valuable product inside an existing dataset, andthe domain judgment to know why it would matter to the customer

  • Comfort with the mechanics of data quality: coverage, precisionandrecall, entity resolution, freshness, andhow to build customer trust in a number that cannot be verified by eye

  • Can partnerandinfluence effectively across all levels of an organization, andregularly usethese skills to improve the work going on around you

  • Experience in a prior startup or high-ambiguity environment;a track recordof managing ambiguityandcomplexity affecting many stakeholders in an organizedandstructured way
