Job summary

Plaid is seeking a Product Manager for Data Supply Health and Traffic in New York. You will define the strategy to allocate constrained provider capacity, scale traffic across Plaid products, and manage paid data access economics.

You will partner with engineering and data-provider teams to turn technical and commercial constraints into clear priorities. You will lead initiatives to optimize data freshness, balance provider capacity with cost, and establish metrics used to run and improve this

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience, including 5+ in product management or equivalent founder/operator roles.
  • Analytical rigor: comfortable with data, cost models, and operational metrics.
  • Deep technical fluency: reason about large-scale systems, load management, APIs, ML models.
  • Platform & systems thinking mindset: design for reuse and long-term scalability.
  • Leadership, stakeholder influence, and communication across engineering, data, product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Plaid's strategy and roadmap for data-supply traffic, health, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and prioritize traffic-optimization initiatives leveraging ML models and provider negotiations.
  • Bridge data-provider relationships and internal product teams; translate constraints into priorities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to understand system behavior and trade-offs.
  • Establish and track core traffic and cost metrics, identify risks, measure progress.
