Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager for Safeguards to own ideation, design, development and deployment of safeguards systems and relevant UX to ensure safe deployment of frontier models across cloud platforms. You will collaborate with research, policy and engineering teams to develop detections, evals, interventions and metrics, balancing safety with product value in a fast-moving environment.

Experience in designing and building metrics to evaluate safety, performance and risk.
Ability to translate complex safety concepts for cross-functional audiences.
Strong cross-functional leadership across policy, engineering and research teams.

Responsibilities

Determine safety-by-design approaches for frontier models and integrate downstream defenses.
Write safety evals and communicate safety externally.
Drive prioritization with clear business and technical tradeoffs and MVP vs. ideal state.
Align with policy, enforcement, research, engineering and other stakeholders.
Understand AI landscape to plan mitigation of deployment risks and adversaries.
Lead development of metrics to understand area performance and future planning.
