Job description

The group you'll be a part of

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry.

The impact you'll make

At Lam Research, the Deposition Product Group is driving the next generation of 3D device scaling and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. As the Product Operations & Lifecycle Manager for Sabre 3D, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution, sustainment, and evolution of one of Lam's most strategic deposition product platforms. This highly visible role serves as the operational leader of the Sabre 3D product line, partnering across Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Service, and Commercial organizations to drive product changes, release readiness, upgrades, lifecycle transitions, and configuration governance. You will transform product decisions into operational execution, ensuring that new capabilities are delivered efficiently, risks are managed proactively, and customers receive high-quality solutions throughout the product lifecycle. While Product Managers define the strategy, roadmap, and market priorities, the Product Operations & Lifecycle Manager ensures the organization executes flawlessly against those priorities. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen, exceptional cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to drive alignment across a complex global organization without direct authority.

What you'll do

  • Lead review and approval of product, engineering, and non-standard requests while facilitating stakeholder alignment and issue resolution.
  • Ensure readiness across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, service, and commercial teams prior to implementation. Identify and mitigate risks affecting customers, schedules, costs, or product quality.
  • Manage product configurations, upgrades, variants, and releases while ensuring configuration integrity and deployment readiness.
  • Coordinate new features, customer‑specific solutions, and implementation planning with Product Managers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Resolve configuration conflicts, obsolescence risks, and product complexity challenges while aligning releases with manufacturing, service, and customer requirements.
  • Lead product lifecycle management from introduction through end‑of‑life, including lifecycle reviews, product transitions, and end‑of‑life strategies.
  • Manage obsolescence, upgrades, and future product builds while balancing customer commitments, operational constraints, and business objectives.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and Operations to support product health, maintainability, and scalability.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Operations, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment, product management, program management, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience leading complex cross‑functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting deposition, thin‑film processing, or advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Product lifecycle management (PLM)
    • Product configuration management
    • Change management processes
    • ECN and PCN governance
    • Product release management
    • Semiconductor manufacturing operations
    • Supply chain and sourcing processes
  • Experience managing product introductions, upgrades, and lifecycle transitions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
