Job description

Privacy is the virtual card platform giving consumers and small businesses complete control over their online payments.

Our virtual cards protect 250,000+ users across the U.S., processing over $3 billion in transactions with bank-level security and encryption. From merchant-locked cards that can't be used anywhere else if stolen, to spending limits that block unauthorized charges, to one-click pausing that stops subscriptions instantly, Privacy puts financial control back in users' hands.

We're building a future where every online payment is secure by default, free from data breaches, unauthorized charges, and hidden fees. We're proud to have been named one of Forbes' \"Top 100 Most Customer-Centric Companies\" and featured in The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and Wirecutter.

Privacy is the product that started it all. What began as Privacy.com grew into Lithic, now a Series C company backed by world-class investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Stripes, and Mastercard, along with many others. Our dedicated team of 35 sits at the heart of Lithic's 170+ person organization, spanning 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City.

Reporting to Sam Pinsak, Privacy’s Product Lead, who oversees both product and marketing, you'll partner closely with your engineering manager, eng lead, and the engineers on your pod, a product designer, and, depending on the work, leads across risk, payment, and dispute ops, compliance, biz ops, and support. The product team is small, senior, and moves fast. This is a hands‑on role: you'll own a broad surface and live in the details — writing the specs, pulling the data you need to make a call, staying close to customers, and sitting in planning and grooming with your engineering squad. You're self‑sufficient with data day to day and partner with an analyst on the deeper dives, and you lean on AI tooling to do the work of a much bigger team. Every bet ties back to the P&L, scope gets cut hard, and you'll have a short path to the CEO and to real customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the roadmap and strategy for a core product surface
  • Own the surface and its year‑long roadmap; keep the whole thing moving while going deep where it counts most right now
  • Pick the right problems across that surface and frame them into testable bets with clear outcomes; set the product vision and strategy
  • Act as the default decision‑maker for your surface and make cross‑area trade‑offs; defend your calls under ambiguity at leadership review
  • Drive decisions with data and deep customer + business understanding
  • Own the metrics that roll directly into financial and business outcomes for your surface; know which levers move them and which to pull first to hit a target
  • Reason in contribution‑margin and unit‑economics terms, not just feature impact; hold a segment‑level model of our customers and spearhead the research that resolves high‑impact, ambiguous questions
  • Build the dashboards and success metrics other teams adopt, and use data to drive cross‑functional buy‑in
  • Lead the team and work cross‑functionally
  • Lead an engineering squad as its product manager, and influence cross‑functional teams to re‑prioritize toward your roadmap
  • Turn recurring decisions into playbooks the team reuses; push for configurable systems and AI/tooling patterns that lift the whole team, not just you
  • Communicate clearly from the detail level up to the strategic picture, adapting to your audience; mentor other PMs and raise the team's craft bar
What You’ll Bring
  • Ownership of a product area (or multiple connected areas) end‑to‑end and set its strategy — not just execution of a roadmap handed to you
  • Demonstrate strong judgment under ambiguity: you pick the right problems, make defensible calls, and know when to walk away from one
  • Fluent in unit economics and how product decisions move the P&L
  • Ability to find the levers that matter in performance data and turn them into a clear story for non‑technical audiences
  • Fluent with AI‑assisted tools and actively building with them to multiply your own and the team's outputAbility to ramp quickly across unfamiliar domains and get to real depth quickly
  • Consumer or D2C product experience; consumer fintech or payments a strong plus, not a requirement
  • Ability to operate autonomously, with strong communication skills, ruthless about scope without sacrificing quality, and humble

The annual US salary range for this role is $168,000 - $225,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

This is a remote position. However, candidates must be located in the United States, Canada (Ontario or British Columbia), Netherlands, Poland, or Czech Republic. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance.
