Job description

Join a growing, fast-moving Product Management team to help shape product strategy and drive business growth. You will lead cross-functional partners across distribution, actuarial, IT, operations, training and sales management to turn market intelligence, customer insights and financial analysis into product decisions you recommend, defend and see through to market.

We are looking for a curious, experienced, and self-directed product professional who seeks out opportunities that matter most to the business, evaluates them through a business case lens, and brings a well-supported recommendation to discussions where decisions are made. This role will have influence and contribute directly to the future growth of the organization.

This role leads across the full product lifecycle, including identifying product needs, developing new products and enhancing existing ones, designing and writing product specifications, developing business cases, analyzing market and competitive intelligence, leading product development and launch planning, directing the creation of product training and support materials, and improving the processes that enable our product strategy. The role typically leads projects of moderate to high complexity.

About the role

We are looking for a collaborative professional who brings both an analytical and creative mindset to the team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, developing evidence-based recommendations, taking end-to-end ownership of complex initiatives from discovery through launch, and coaching less-experienced colleagues along the way.

We pride ourselves on developing and delivering competitive solutions grounded in integrity and customer value. We value people who embrace creativity and continuous improvement, take ownership of outcomes, and help create a culture in which everyone is empowered to succeed.

What you will do
  • Represent the Product department on projects of moderate to high complexity, working independently and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Lead discovery with the Product team and cross-functional stakeholders, defining success measures, evaluating opportunities, and determining the priority and expected impact of product features and enhancements.
  • Own product recommendations and business cases, supported by evidence-based analysis, including opportunity sizing, trend analysis, adoption analysis, financial analysis, and outcome modelling.
  • Serve as the recognized product expert across the organization, answering technical product questions from wholesalers, brokers and customers.
  • Evaluate opportunities to use analytics, insights, and recommendations within the product to create value for customers, distribution partners, and the business.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders, turning complex analysis into simple, persuasive narratives and practical next steps.
  • Monitor competitor, industry, and market trends to provide context for product performance, customer expectations, and strategic decision-making.
  • Support portfolio-level decision-making by providing leadership with insight-led reporting and recommendations related to product, customer, enterprise, and market performance.
  • Lead product development, implementation, and launch activities, including overseeing technical product research and directing the creation and distribution of product training and support materials.
  • Champion opportunities to apply AI to strengthen product outcomes and team effectiveness.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a quantitative field or equivalent in work experience
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products and market
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, solve complex problems, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills with a focus on process improvement and attention to detail
  • Experience in presenting recommendations to peers; additional experience delivering presentations to Senior Management preferred, but not required
  • Organization and time management skills to focus on what matters
  • Intellectually curious to explore the "why" before starting to solution
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative remote team environment
Nice to Haves
  • Prior experience with business cases
  • Prior experience within innovation
  • Prior experience with AI
