Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is seeking a commercially minded professional to support the Business Director in executing plans and pricing strategies. You will develop regional sales forecasts and collaborate on regulatory and market topics to drive North American market development.

You will monitor market intelligence with the sales force and global marketing, acting as the main contact for quotations and day-to-day accounts. A hybrid Pittsburgh presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial roles.
• Strong analytical thinking and market insight.
• Excellent business sense and sales orientation.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Highlights

• Support the Business Director in executing business plans, marketing and pricing strategies, developing regional sales forecasting, support on regulatory and commercial topics, ensuring deep product knowledge, customer intimacy, and understanding of target markets to drive market development for North America.
• Maintain, develop, monitor, conduct, and communicate market analysis and market intelligence/trends in collaboration with the sales force, global marketing, and other relevant parties.
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for transactional, prospect, and designated distributor accounts, handling quotations, order follow-up, product inquiries, and day-to-day account management.
• Evaluate new market opportunities in North America in close cooperation with the sales force to achieve short, mid and long term business objectives.
• Prepare short, medium, and long-term forecasts to ensure accurate business planning. Coordinate with relevent supply functions including global and regional supply chain.

Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or another closely related field.
• 3-5 years of professional relevant experience.
• Excellent analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
• Strong business acumen and excellent understanding of how to develop a business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• This is a HYBRID role with an on-site presence required in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office approximately 3 days per week each week.
