Job summary

Sila in Alameda, CA is seeking a Product Manager to define and execute the roadmap for next-generation battery materials. You will work cross-functionally to translate market demand into tangible product plans, shaping the future of Sila's technology and driving decisions across R&D and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (Master's or MBA preferred).
• Must have lithium ion battery experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years in product management, technical program management, or product development within battery and/or material industry.
• Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of managing technical products through full lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Demonstrated ability to perform strategic market analysis, competitive research, and financial models.

Responsibilities

• Create a product roadmap that supports Sila's business objectives by defining a clear and compelling product vision with a comprehensive detailed roadmap for Sila's next-generation battery materials.
• Identify gaps in Sila's roadmaps and align the team on plans to close gaps.
• Drive go-to-market strategy for a successful product launch for new and emerging product lines beyond our existing Titan Silicon anode material.
• Understand the competitive landscape and where Sila fits in by conducting competitive analysis, evaluating industry leading battery materials to identify Sila's unique value proposition.
• Provide a nuanced understanding and analyses of target markets and plans to be successful in those markets.
• Prepare business cases and other analyses necessary to ease cross-functional decision making.
• Clearly presents ideas, product updates and concepts to stakeholders in meetings virtually and in-person.
• Identifies and prioritizes customer needs in the product development process

The Product Manager will work cross functionally to help set the direction and drive the development of Sila's next-generation products. The starting base pay for this role is between $151,000 and $191,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
