Job summary

Lane Enterprises, LLC seeks a Product Lifecycle Manager to own and govern manufacturing master data across the product lifecycle within the ERP system. You will develop and refine Bills of Operations (BOOs), Methods of Manufacturing (MOMs), routings, and workflows to drive production, costing, inventory management, and MRP.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or leading ERP data governance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Own creation, maintenance, and governance of ERP master data (part records, revisions, attributes).

  • Standardize workflows and identify non-value activities to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze production, inventory, labor, and costing data to inform decisions.
  • Monitor engineering changes, KPIs, and data quality for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews for costing, GL mapping, and master data accuracy.
  • Support MRP, inventory management, and replenishment attributes across systems.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular inventory analytics.

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Bills of Operations (BOOs), Methods of Manufacturing (MOMs), routings, manufacturing workflows, and product revisions that drive production, costing, inventory management, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Acting as the central liaison between Engineering, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, and Plant Leadership, the PLM ensures the integrity of manufacturing data while analyzing production metrics, inventory performance, labor and conversion standards, and manufacturing KPIs to support operational efficiency and informed business decisions across all products and all locations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance cross-functional team members involved in product data management, engineering changes, BOM/BOO/MOM maintenance, and ERP/MRP processes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data within the ERP system, ensuring part records, revisions, naming conventions, numbering standards, and product attributes remain accurate and standardized.
  • Establish and improve enterprise-wide data governance standards, procedures, and best practices for part setup, product lifecycle management, and engineering data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM), Bills of Operations (BOO), Methods of Manufacturing (MOM), and manufacturing workflows.
  • Standardize workflows across sites, identify non-value added activities, and refining engineering and manufacturing data to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting using engineering, production, labor, inventory, and costing data to evaluate costs, efficiencies, performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on engineering change metrics, KPIs, production data, inventory performance, and master data quality to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional product setup and change reviews with Engineering, Finance, Cost Accounting, Operations, and Purchasing to validate costing, GL mapping, inventory classifications, planning attributes, and master data accuracy.
  • Own and maintain master data supporting Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, and reporting, including lead times, lot sizing, reorder points, safety stock, warehouse assignments, and replenishment strategies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and ERP teams to ensure product data, manufacturing methods, supplier information, and workflows remain aligned.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular reporting and analytics for inventory management, including min/max inventory levels, inventory turns, scrap rates, and material conversions.
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations, system migrations, or engineering data conversions, with Epicor Kinetic experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, warehouse planning, purchasing, production planning, and how engineering master data impacts manufacturing execution.
  • Experience partnering with Finance and Cost Accounting to support product costing, labor standards, material cost rollups, overhead allocations, inventory valuation, and general ledger mapping.
  • Proven experience developing manufacturing workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze manufacturing, production, inventory, labor, and costing data, develop meaningful KPIs, prepare management reports, and use data to support strategic business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Information Systems, or a related technical discipline required.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, product management, ERP administration, manufacturing engineering, or engineering master data management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and governing engineering master data, including part master records, Bills of Material (BOM), Bills of Operations (BOO), Methods of Manufacturing (MOM), routings, and engineering revisions.
  • Hands‑on experience administering Engineering Change Management (ECM), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), revision control, engineering documentation, and product release processes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40% to plant site locations across the U.S. (initially 50%)
  • Ability to visit manufacturing facilities and safely navigate production environments.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain the ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline.

The base salary for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 (Plus Profit-Sharing Bonus + Stock (ESOP))
