Job summary

X Development, LLC in Mountain View, CA seeks a Product Lead for the Data Platform to drive the next-generation foundation powering AI-enabled grid planning. You will deliver a scalable, secure, user-centric platform enabling internal teams and global partners to discover and leverage data at unprecedented scale.

You will lead platform strategy, data governance, and security, while guiding cross-functional teams across software, AI/ML, and domain experts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
8+ years of product management experience.
Proven success building and shipping software products.
Proven experience and technical fluency in defining, building, and scaling platforms that support AI/ML model training, deployment (MLOps), and feature management.
Experience working with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

Platform Strategy: Architect the technical vision for usability, scalability, and reliability for the data platform.
Grid Model Orchestration and Collaboration: Define multi-user collaboration and git-like versioning for grid proposals.
Discovery and Truth: Implement automated data governance and metadata management for a single source of truth.
Security Architecture: Architect Zero‑Trust identity framework aligned with standards.
Privacy by Design: Lead automated GDPR/CCPA controls and access management.
Build vs. Buy: Evaluate 3rd party tools and drive lean, high-velocity architecture decisions.
Durable Decision Making: Lead architectural trade-offs balancing short-term needs and long-term stability.
