Job summary

TouchCare is seeking a Product Lead who acts as mini-CEO for a product, owning direction, research, strategy, and a rapid AI-enabled build cycle. You will run a pod with a Builder-Architect, prototype with Claude tools, and ship changes while balancing incremental roadmap and longer-term moonshots.

This role blends product management with hands-on AI development in healthcare navigation, reporting to the VP of Product, Innovation & AI Strategy. A dynamic startup mindset is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Track record of owning a product's direction and outcomes.
  • Hands-on user and market research: interviews and decisions.
  • Sharp prioritization: you can say no and explain why.
  • Clear writing and communication with executives and frontline teams.
  • Genuine enjoyment of both halves: deciding and building.
  • Experience building with AI coding tools and showing a prototype.
  • Hands-on design skills, especially Figma, and ability to work within an existing design system.
  • Comfort working with APIs and data, and debugging prototypes.
  • Experience running experiments and interpreting results.
  • Healthcare, benefits or health navigation experience (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and handling protected health information (nice to have).
  • Startup experience in multifaceted roles (nice to have).

Responsibilities

  • Own the product's direction: set strategy, roadmap, and decisions on what to build or stop.
  • Run the research yourself: talk to members, health assistants, sales and clients; size the market; study competitors.
  • Build and prototype using Claude Design & Claude Code and other AI tools; ship small changes yourself.
  • Ship with Builder-Architect: own what gets built and why; they own production readiness.
  • Run both tracks: incremental roadmap and long-term moonshots with real users.
  • Keep the experience consistent: design in Figma using TouchCare's design system.
  • Bring people along: keep leadership, operations and sales informed on what's shipping and why.

Job description

TouchCare is a healthcare advocacy and benefits navigation company dedicated to simplifying the healthcare experience for employees and their families. We help members navigate the complexities of healthcare and employee benefits, connecting them with personalized guidance, resources, and support when they need it most.

As we continue to grow, we're investing in technology, product innovation, and artificial intelligence to create smarter, more seamless experiences for our members, clients, and internal teams.

The Product Lead is the mini-CEO of one TouchCare product. You own where it goes and why: market and user research, strategy, roadmap and evolution. You also build: you prototype and ship with AI coding tools like Claude Design and Claude Code, not only write specs for others.

The work runs on two tracks. The incremental track delivers what the product needs in the short to mid term. The innovation track cultivates experimentation over the longer term, so we learn which moonshots are worth pursuing.

You'll run a pod with a Builder-Architect, a vibe-coding engineer who owns architecture and production quality. Together you take the product from insight to shipped, fast. You report to the VP of Product, Innovation & AI Strategy.

This is a two-in-one role for people who enjoy both halves, deciding what to build and building it. Think of it as a Product Manager and an AI builder in one person. We aren't looking for a traditional PM who hands off to engineering, or an engineer who waits for requirements.

What you'll do
  • Own the product's direction. Set its strategy and roadmap, and recommend what to build next and what to stop.
  • Run the research yourself. Talk to members, health assistants, sales and clients. Size the market, study competitors, and turn what you learn into decisions.
  • Build and prototype. Use Claude Design & Claude Code and other AI tools to turn ideas into working prototypes in days, and ship smaller changes yourself.
  • Ship with your Builder-Architect. You own what gets built and why; they own how it holds up in production. Both of you build.
  • Run both tracks. Deliver the incremental roadmap while running experiments with real users to find the product's longer-term moonshots. Measure what worked and kill what didn't.
  • Keep the experience consistent. Design in Figma and AI design tools, working from TouchCare's existing design system, so the product looks and feels right without a dedicated designer.
  • Bring people along. Keep leadership, operations and sales informed on what's shipping and why.
What we're looking for

Product judgment is the non-negotiable half. Building is a strong plus we expect to see, at the level of prototyping and shipping small things, not production engineering.

Must-haves

  • A track record of owning a product's direction and outcomes, not only a backlog
  • Hands-on user and market research: you've run interviews and turned findings into decisions
  • Sharp prioritization: you can say no and explain why
  • Clear writing and communication with both executives and frontline teams
  • Genuine enjoyment of both halves of this role: deciding and building
  • You already build with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable or similar) and can show something you made
  • Hands-on design skills, especially Figma. Although we hope to lean on AI as much as possible, they may still be a need to do design work in Figma too, within our existing design system
  • Comfort working with APIs and data, and debugging your own prototypes
  • A record of running experiments and reading the results honestly
Nice to have
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits or health navigation
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and building products that handle protected health information
  • Startup experience, where you wore several hats
