Job summary

Better Trucks is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the Operations Product Stack, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Design, and Data to improve last mile efficiency, visibility, and delivery performance. Location options include Remote (US) or Hybrid (Chicago).

Responsibilities include defining strategy and roadmap, prioritizing features from customer feedback, and leading products from discovery through launch while communicating progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience building software products.
• Experience developing products for logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or other complex business environments.
• Strong track record of leading products from strategy through execution.
• Experience working closely with Engineering, Design, and Data teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Reporting to the Vice President of Product and Customer Success, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Better Trucks' Operations Product Stack. You will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Design, and Data to build products that improve operational efficiency, network visibility, and delivery performance across our last mile network.

Location: Remote (US) or Hybrid (Chicago)

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Product Ownership

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the Operations Product Stack.
• Partner with Operations to understand workflows, identify pain points, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Design to build scalable, high quality products.
• Prioritize initiatives using customer feedback, operational insights, and data.
• Define product requirements, success metrics, and business outcomes.
• Lead products from discovery through launch and continuous improvement.

8+ years of product management experience building software products.

Experience developing products for logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or other complex business environments.

• Experience in last mile delivery, parcel logistics, transportation management, fleet management, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with operational dashboards, dispatch systems, route optimization, or real time monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, or analytics driven products.
• Experience in a high growth technology company.
