Job summary

USF in Auburn Hills, Michigan is seeking a Launch Manager to oversee and coordinate all internal requirements for new and modified product launches. You will manage programs from quote acceptance through part approval and ensure program success.

The role requires coordinating between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Quality, developing requirements, budgeting, scheduling and reporting progress. A PMP is preferred and 5+ years of PM experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ practical work experience in project management.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• BS degree in Engineering (or related discipline) or education/experience equivalency.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the planning, development and launch of new projects.
• Primary liaison between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Quality.
• Develops project requirements.
• Manages project planning, logistics, operations management and financial performance.
• Communicates customer product quality, on-time delivery, and inventory requirements.
• Prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Drives continuous improvements on new program launches.
• Establishes budget and timeline for all approved projects and communicates progress to stakeholders.
