Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead on-time installation and qualification of complex capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will own installation performance, coordinate with engineering and regional teams, and ensure a smooth handoff with customers.

The role requires substantial travel (domestic and international) and 6 days/week work with long hours. Strong electronics/optics background and high-vacuum experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-vacuum, and electro-optical systems.
• Experience with high-vacuum systems strongly preferred.
• Comfort with computer systems, operating systems, and networking (Windows, Unix, or similar).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools.

• Work under guidance from managers and senior IEs, with increasing autonomy as experience grows.

• Extensive travel domestically and internationally to support customer installations worldwide.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-vacuum, and electro-optical systems.
• Experience with high-vacuum systems strongly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience.
• Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.

Base Pay Range: $27.46 - $46.69 Per Hour
