Job summary

Centro, Inc. in Hampton, IA is hiring a Product Inspector/Finisher to train on the job and ensure final quality. You will inspect, trim, sand, deburr, assemble and prepare molded plastic parts for shipment, following official work instructions and safety rules.

We offer full-time hours on 2nd and 3rd shift with starting pay at $23.00 per hour, plus benefits including health, dental and vision, 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, HSA, PTO and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform repetitive tasks during shifts.
• Comfort using hand tools, measuring devices, and power equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn multiple workstations and follow instructions.
• Reliable attendance and positive, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect molded plastic products to meet quality specs.
• Trim, sand, deburr and finish products with hand/power tools.
• Install components and complete assembly as instructed.
• Perform final quality checks and identify defects before shipping.
• Package and label products for shipment to customers.
• Follow product specs, work instructions and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Work with team to meet production schedules and expectations.
• Help identify quality concerns to prevent defects.

What You'll Do as a Product Inspector/Finisher

• Inspect molded plastic products to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications
• Trim, sand, deburr, and finish products using a variety of hand and power tools
• Install accessory components and complete assembly tasks according to work instructions
• Perform final quality inspections and identify defects before products are shipped
• Package, label, and prepare products for shipment to customers
• Read and follow product specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and customer expectations
• Assist in identifying quality concerns and help prevent defective products from reaching customers

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Willingness to learn and work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
• Basic mechanical ability or interest in working with tools
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude are a must
• Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
