Job summary

BlackSky Technology Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager for Product Insights to lead a high‑performing team delivering turnkey analytics within the BlackSky platform. You will shape hosting architectures, orchestrate pipelines, and ensure reliable, scalable delivery of partner and internal insights.

Ideal candidates have extensive software engineering leadership, deep cloud experience (AWS), and a track record building distributed, production systems in a fast-paced environment. Seattle/Hybrid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent with 8+ years in software engineering.
• 8+ years in software engineering including distributed, mission-critical systems.
• 2+ years in people management or lead roles.
• Experience designing scalable production software.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a Product Insights engineering team focused on hosting and integrating partner products.
• Set technical strategy and roadmap for scalable, reliable platforms.
• Oversee design and deployment of product hosting architectures and pipelines.
• Collaborate across product, imagery, AI/analytics, and partner teams to accelerate delivery.
• Mentor engineers and manage sprint planning and capacity.
