Job summary

Arc’teryx Equipment is seeking a Part-Time Product Guide in Paramus, NJ. You will be the face of the brand on the retail floor, delivering an unforgettable experience to guests and sharing technical product knowledge to assist with problems and recommendations.

You’ll weave product details into genuine interactions, support store leadership on projects, and champion Arc’teryx as a brand ambassador in-store and in the community. A passion for outdoor gear and problem solving is essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a best-in-class brand experience to guests through sharing technical product knowledge and supporting problem solving
• Building a strong understanding of Arc’teryx products and weaving this information into guest interactions
• Championing Arc’teryx as a brand ambassador in-store and in the community
• Developing your passions both in and out of the store with team support
• Supporting in elevating guest experience by working with store leadership on projects and brand initiatives
• Providing feedback on merchandising and in-store experience to help drive sales
• Maintaining an open, collaborative relationship with your team and store leadership
• Participating in store tasks as assigned by leadership
• Answering store phones and voicemails/emails; may respond on Epicenter social channels
• Utilizing the POS system to process guest transactions, warranties, Used Gear trades, purchases and returns
• Receiving and unpacking inventory boxes (5–30 lbs)

As a Product Guide at Arc’teryx, here’s what you’d be doing:

• Delivering a best-in-class brand experience to our guests through sharing technical product knowledge and supporting with problem solving
• Building a strong understanding of our products and seamlessly weaving this information into guest interactions in an authentic way
• Championing Arc’teryx as a brand ambassador both in-store and in the community
• Developing your passions both in and out of the store with the support of the team
• Supporting in elevating the guest experience by working with the store leadership team on projects and brand initiatives
• Providing feedback on merchandising and in-store experience to help drive sales
• Maintaining an open, collaborative relationship with your team and store leadership
• Supporting with and participating in various store tasks as assigned by the leadership team
• Answering store phones and responding to voicemails and store emails; on occasion, this could include responding on the Epicenter social media channels
• Utilizing the Point-of-Sale system to accurately and efficiently process guest transactions, including warranties, Used Gear trade-ins, purchases, and returns
• Receiving and unpacking boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh 5 - 30 lbs)

Expectations:

• All employees are expected to be available to work “Black Friday” (the day after US Thanksgiving) until the end of the holiday season, to be defined each year based in part on the time period guests are permitted to return holiday merchandise, on an annual basis.
• You are fully accountable for and oversee the execution of all deliverables on the Product Guide Role and Responsibilities document
• Under the direction of the Store Leads, Store Manager and Assistant Manager, you perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request

Availability Requirements:

Part-time employees must:

• Provideopenavailability for at least two (2) of three (3) weekend days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Also be available for one (1) opening and one (1) closing shift during the week with a minimum six (6) hour availability window.

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is USD$23.60 -USD$26.20 hourly.

Total Rewards

Most new team members join between this range, where they can contribute right away while continuing to grow their craft. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.

Additionally, the role is eligible to participate in a bonus plan based on the performance of their store.

Compensation: Salaried
