Job summary

Harmar Mobility is seeking a dedicated assembler to support the manufacture of wheelchair and accessibility products. You will assemble units using hand tools, fixtures, and text devices, ensuring outputs meet strict tolerances and customer specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with SR apprentices and fabricators to maintain production flow. Bilingual preferred; Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm with occasional overtime on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units per specifications.
• Some welding experience is a plus and blueprint reading is beneficial.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and safety practices.
• Work with SR apprentices and fabricators to ensure correct building processes.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and high accuracy/attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products using hand tools, fixtures, and text devices per customer specs.
• Identify and report units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Make adjustments to meet specifications and reject non-conforming products.
• Record issues with parts or final assemblies to leads/managers/QA.
• Coordinate flow of products through manufacturing processes.
• Report part outages and shortages to leads and production management.

Sub-Assemble fabricated parts and/or components for product and parts orders. Able to test and calibrate assemblies to meet tolerances, product specifications and work instructions. Work to achieve daily production schedule and to ensure the customer receives the highest quality product possible.

Full Time

Schedule: Monday -Thursday 6:00am -4:30pm. Occasional overtime on Friday! Bilingual preferred.

• Assembles, using hand tools, hand grinding equipment assembly fixtures, and text devices according to customer specification and final product fitting and finishing.
• May use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product/customer specifications
• Identify and report units that fail tests or tolerance levels
• Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications
• Report and/or record any problems with parts and/or final assembly product or process to lead person and/or production manager or quality assurance personnel
• Apply Steel finishing skills to prepare final products for powder coating
• Participate in the coordination of the flow of products throughout the m manufacturing process
• Report parts outages and component part shortages to lead person and/or production manager
• Report any quality concerns to lead person and/or production manager, Quality Assurance Personnel.
