Job summary

Harmar Mobility is seeking a dedicated assembler for our Sarasota, FL facility to build and test accessibility products. You will assemble components using hand and power tools, follow exact specifications, and help ensure the highest quality before shipment.

Daily duties include identifying defective units, reporting issues to the team lead, and supporting the flow of parts through the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Assemble and fabricate parts to meet product specifications.
• Some welding and blueprint reading experience is a plus.
• Operate according to SOPs and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts using hand tools and fixtures per specifications.
• Identify and report units failing tests or tolerances.
• Make adjustments to keep products within specs and reject out-of-spec parts.
• Record problems with parts or final assemblies to leads/managers.

Sub-Assemble fabricated parts and/or components for product and parts orders. Able to test and calibrate assemblies to meet tolerances, product specifications and work instructions. Work to achieve daily production schedule and to ensure the customer receives the highest quality product possible.

Full Time

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm. Occasional overtime on Friday! Bilingual preferred.

• Assembles, using hand tools, hand grinding equipment assembly fixtures, and text devices according to customer specification and final product fitting and finishing.
• May use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product/customer specifications
• Identify and report units that fail tests or tolerance levels
• Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications
• Report and/or record any problems with parts and/or final assembly product or process to lead person and/or production manager or quality assurance personnel
• Apply Steel finishing skills to prepare final products for powder coating
• Participate in the coordination of the flow of products throughout the m manufacturing process
• Report parts outages and component part shortages to lead person and/or production manager
• Report any quality concerns to lead person and/or production manager, Quality Assurance Personnel.

Requirements

• Achieve the daily production goals
• Some welding experience and blueprint reading a plus
• Operate within the standard operating procedures and adhere to all applicable safety practices
• Work closely with SR apprentices & fabricators as needed for the correct building processes
• Ensure work area is clean and organized
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• High degree of accuracy and attention to details
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others
