Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in supervision, and 3+ years in SolidWorks and PDM with AutoCAD knowledge.

Lean manufacturing experience is desirable, and the role involves coordinating with cross‑functional teams to meet customer needs and company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience. Minimum of 3 years’ supervising/managing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ SoildWorks and PDM experience along with AutoCAD knowledge
• Lean manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Possess a positive reinforcement style of coaching and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the engineering department to assist in achieving account goals and listen to the voice of the customer.
• Develop a collaborative work environment to guarantee consistent delivery of engineering aspects to customers.
• Collaborate with engineers and engineering groups at other Everbrite facilities and maintain engineering standards.
• Oversee performance of team members; set goals, coach for improvement, and involve HR when needed.
• Provide regular feedback on project management and performance ahead of the annual review.
• Represent the department at meetings and within project teams.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments related to customer needs and company goals.
• Evaluate and develop mechanical design, BOMs, and specifications for high value, compliant products.
• Identify design/manufacturing failures using FEA, PFMEA, prototyping, and testing.
• Apply DFMAI principles to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Review and approve drawings and BOMs after completion by engineers.
• Train personnel to use SolidWorks, PDM, and AutoCAD; travel may be required.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and related codes.
