Job summary

Skyworks is seeking a Product Engineering Intern in Greensboro, NC (Thorndike). The role supports production test plans, data analysis, and process improvement within the Advanced Cellular group.

You will collaborate across Design, Test, Applications, and Quality Engineering on test plans and yield improvement. Qualifications include pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in a technical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA, plus coursework or experience in analog/digital/RF circuits and scripting (SQL, Python, R, JSL).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Materials Science, Engineering Physics, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Analog/Digital/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience.
• Knowledge scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and/or JSL.
• Must have strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail oriented, curious self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production test plans.
• Collaborate with Design, Test, Applications, and Quality Engineering to create and maintain high-volume production test plans that verify product data sheet compliance and enable effective manufacturing defect detection and screening.
• Improve and sustain product test yield with Statistical Process Control.
• Analyze test data using time-series, capability analysis, ANOVA, and multivariate analysis.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving and continuous-improvement projects using root-cause analysis and Lean methodologies.
