Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Product Engineering Intern to join the Combine Engineering team, supporting design, testing, and manufacturing activities for harvesters. You will work with experienced engineers on subsystem design and validation, gaining hands‑on experience and exposure to CREO, DOE, FMEA, and CAD data management.

Summer interns work 40 hours per week from May through August; currently enrolled college students are eligible.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Experience with personal computers and MS Office products.
• Available to travel to field test sites, as required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and completing designs, layouts, and drawings for assigned elements of products under development or improvement, consistent with project plans and objectives.
• Using engineering techniques and considering manufacturing processes, safety standards, and governmental regulations to create cost‑effective designs. Performing engineering calculations to determine part sizes, strengths, and solve design challenges.
• Supporting prototype builds, preparing work orders, part requisitions, parts lists, and engineering change requests. Assisting with laboratory and field testing, including collecting and reporting results to validate designs. Resolving functional and mechanical problems on assigned sub‑systems.
• Traveling to plants, supplier facilities, and field test locations to troubleshoot issues, explore alternatives, and gain product knowledge. Learning and applying CNH engineering standards and ISO work procedures, and becoming proficient in CAD (CREO) and engineering data management systems (e.g., TeamCenter BOM).
