Job summary

Thermal Works LLC is seeking a Product Engineer to join the engineering team, focusing on 3D assembly modeling of refrigerant and cooled water piping systems using SolidWorks. You will create 3D models from system schematics and maintain lifecycle properties of components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent HVAC piping trades experience.
• 5 years’ experience using Solidworks in a professional capacity.
• 3 years’ experience with manufacturing/fabrication & design processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Mechanical design (Piping Systems).

Responsibilities

• Assembly Modeling and Documentation (Solidworks).
• Create 3D models of process cooling machines and systems.
• Create 3D models of mechanical piping systems.
• Create assembly documents and fabrication drawings.
• Maintain product system schematics in AutoCAD.
• Develop templates: custom properties, drawing templates, and sheet formats.
• Audit machine component properties and maintain IOM details.

Job description

Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineerto join our team, working directly with the Engineering Department and focusing on 3D assembly modeling of refrigerant and cooled water piping systems within machines with the use of Solidworks. We are looking for someone who can create 3D models from a mechanical system schematic, add and track the properties of the assembly components through the lifecycle of the product, and create assembly, part, and installation documents. The candidate must be familiar with refrigerant and cooled water distribution systems and their respective components as it relates conveying fluid through equipment and ultimately through a data center. Experience with HVAC systems and sheet metal is a plus. The candidate must be well versed in Solidworks as it relates to creating piping assemblies and documents to fabricate these assemblies.

Education / Experience
