Civic Minds is seeking a Product Engineer RF/MMIC to support development, release, and sustaining of RF and microwave semiconductor products. You will work across the lifecycle from samples and characterization to production launch and ongoing support.

Ideal candidates have RF/microwave engineering, analog circuits, and electronics testing experience, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to drive yield, process improvements, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of semiconductor devices, analog circuits, RF fundamentals, and electronics testing.
• Experience with RF design, electronics testing, product characterization, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, JMP, LabVIEW or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Product Engineer- MMICs

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Product Engineer RF/MMIC to support the development, production release, and sustaining of RF and microwave semiconductor products. This role provides hands‑on involvement across the complete product lifecycle, from engineering samples and characterization through production launch and ongoing sustaining support.

The ideal candidate will have a foundation in RF/microwave engineering, analog circuits, semiconductor devices, and electronics testing, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support RF and microwave product development from engineering samples through production launch.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production and product characterization data.
• Participate in the development and validation of production test plans.
• Perform and support RF and microwave laboratory measurements.
• Assist with root‑cause analysis of product, test, and manufacturing issues.
• Contribute to yield improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain datasheets, technical reports, test documentation, and engineering records.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability, Applications Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing Operations.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Assist with production release, qualification, and sustaining engineering activities.
• Apply statistical methods and data‑analysis techniques for process and product monitoring.
• Track project activities, action items, and engineering deliverables.
• Communicate technical findings, project status, and recommendations to cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Understanding of:
  • Semiconductor devices
  • Analog and RF circuits
  • RF/microwave fundamentals
  • Electronic measurement techniques
  • Statistics and data analysis
• Experience through coursework, internships, projects, or professional work involving:
  • RF design
  • Electronics testing
  • Semiconductor devices

• Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Python, JMP, LabVIEW, or similar engineering/data‑analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment such as:
  • Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
  • Spectrum Analyzer
  • Signal Generator
• Understanding of microwave measurement and characterization techniques.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and production processes.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and process monitoring.
• Experience with product development, NPI, production testing, or sustaining engineering.
• Internship, co‑op, or professional experience in:
