Job summary

FII in Houston is looking for an experienced professional to manage BOM creation and NPI activities. You will oversee engineering changes and tooling development, ensuring effective shop floor operations.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma with relevant experience in manufacturing or product engineering, preferably within the Electronics industry. Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with BOM Systems, preferably in SAP-S4 Hana.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or product engineering, preferably in Electronics or hardware industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct NPI activities and process failure analysis.
• Manage BOM creation and engineering changes in SAP.
• Define and develop tooling for production.
• Validate packaging designs and manage systems on the shop floor.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities include NPI Introduction, BOM Creation/Management, Packaging definition and validation, Engineering Change management and Shop Floor system setup and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• NPI activities, process failure analysis
• BOM creation/management/Engineering Change management in SAP
• Tooling definition/development for production
• Packaging definition and validation
• Shop Floor system setup and maintenance

Special Skills and Competence

• Hands on experience with BOM Systems, preferably SAP-S4 Hana, familiarity with packaging design, tooling/fixture design, Quality Tools like Ishikawa diagram or Kaizen/Lean knowledge, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) database/SQL knowledge, MS office applications
• 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or product engineering roll preferably in Electronics or hardware industry.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year and with up to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or product engineering , or related fields.

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate’s degree; or
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

LICENSE(S) OR CERTIFICATE(S) REQUIRED (IF APPLICABLE)

• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) is a plus
