Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking an entry-level engineer to own the domestic case goods engineering lifecycle, from concept through production, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years in furniture manufacturing or case goods engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software and MRP/ERP systems (Infor a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end engineering process for domestic case goods from concept to production.
• Develop and maintain detailed drawings, solid models, and specs from concepts.
• Create and manage EIOs, BOMs, and all engineering docs.
• Ensure components are itemized for cost efficiency and manufacturability.
• Analyze margins and identify cost-reduction opportunities; report to leadership.

• Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings, solid models, and product specifications based on design concepts or preliminary drafts
• Create and manage Engineering Introduction Orders (EIOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and all supporting engineering documentation
• Ensure all product components are accurately itemized with a focus on cost efficiency and manufacturability
• Analyze product margins and identify cost reduction opportunities; present recommendations to leadership
