Job summary

Ovivo is seeking a Product Engineer for its Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) product line in North America. You will act as a technical and commercial authority within a cross-functional team across Engineering, PM, and Marketing.

The role is hybrid, based in Mokena, IL, with 10-30% travel. You will shape the roadmap, support sales, and own client relationships from pre-sale to commissioning, driving product improvements and margin protection.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in the water/wastewater industry.
• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical).
• Able to read engineering documents and translate complex concepts for clients.
• Commercially curious with strong communication and relationship-building.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects independently.
• Willingness to travel 10-30% for domestic engagements.

• Support sales through specification reviews, presentations, product sizing, and training for internal/external teams.
• Own customer relationships from pre-sale through commissioning including startup support.
• Apply creative problem-solving to match Ovivo technology to client challenges.
• Shape product roadmap and contribute to new product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Project Management to resolve issues and improve products.
• Review purchase orders with Contracts to protect scope and margin.
• Establish systems to improve margins and prevent erosion.
• Document and preserve technical know-how across the group.

As a Product Engineerfor Ovivo's Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) product line, you'll have the opportunity to build your career as a product leader while developing the commercial and technical skills to serve some of the most complex water treatment challenges in North America. Your clients will span not only Municipal utilities, but also Industrial verticals including Food & Beverage, Mining, Oil & Gas, and emerging sectors like Data Centers. And because DAF is routinely paired with complementary Ovivo treatment technologies, you'll gain broad exposure across our full product portfolio - building expertise that compounds over time.

This role is hybrid, based at our offices in Mokena, IL. Expected domestic travel is 10-30%.

What is the role?

You'll serve as a go-to technical and commercial authority for the DAF product line, embedded in a cross-functional team spanning Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing.

• Support sales through specification and plan reviews, customer presentations, product sizing and application guidance, and technical training for internal teams and external clients.
• Own the customer relationship from pre-sale through commissioning - including process start-up support and field troubleshooting - across a diverse base of municipal and industrial accounts.
• Apply creative problem-solving to match Ovivo technology to client challenges, frequently drawing on adjacent products across the Ovivo portfolio.
• Shape the product roadmap by identifying improvements, driving standardization, and contributing recommendations to new product development initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering and Project Management to resolve warranty or production issues and continuously improve the product.
• Review purchase orders and partner with the Contracts team on Terms & Conditions to protect scope and margin integrity.
• Establish systems and controls to improve margins and prevent margin erosion.
• Preserve and document the technical know-how of the group - building institutional knowledge that scales with the business.

• 1+ year of experience in the water/wastewater industry; exposure to flotation, DAF, municipal water, or industrial treatment processes is a strong plus.
• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical are common fits).
• Technically grounded - able to read engineering documents, apply process fundamentals, and translate complex concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
