Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Product Engineer to drive semiconductor equipment innovation and deliver real‑world solutions for customers. You’ll work with customers and cross‑functional teams to resolve complex issues, support prototyping, deployment, and field performance enhancements across products.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience (or advanced degrees) and strong analytical/experimental design skills, plus excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years; or a PhD with 3+ years
• Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills
• Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
• Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to resolve customer issues and improve product quality
• Support product development from prototyping to deployment and field support
• Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems
• Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide product development
• Provide technical support for installation, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex product issues
• Maintain high customer engagement and travel to customer sites as needed
• Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment

Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
