Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Wilsonville, OR is seeking a Product Engineer for an onsite role functioning within the ES AMER ARS PDCAD division. You will prepare BOMs and CAD drawings, support production schedules, and collaborate across teams to ensure quality customer service.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, up to 50 miles from Wilsonville, and at least 1 year of related manufacturing experience. AutoCAD or Inventor skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must reside within 50 miles of Wilsonville, OR; no relocation assistance offered.

• At least 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Support a single product line (Low/Medium Voltage equipment).
• Prepare Bills of Material and CAD drawings per customer specs.
• Maintain engineering schedule to align drawings/releases with production.
• Collaborate with Power Center Production, Applications Engineers, and Supply Chain.
• Stay updated on Eaton technical developments and industry standards.
• Provide technical support to customers and plant personnel.
• Assist Warranty investigations to determine root causes.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Product Engineer. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Wilsonville OR Eaton plant.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

In this function you will:

• Support a single product line which could include either Low Voltage Assemblies, Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Assemblies or Medium Voltage Switchgear.
• Prepare Bills of Material and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams, which shop personnel follow to build into a completed product meeting the customer requirement.
• Maintain engineering schedule to ensure drawings are released and parts are ordered in time to support the Production build schedule.
• Maintain good working relationships with Power Center Production team, Product Applications Engineers, Supply Chain, customers, distributors and Eaton Sales personnel in support of a quality customer service effort.
• Stay abreast of Eaton technical product developments and industry standards through training or other means.
• Provide technical support for customers and plant personnel.
• Support Warranty Technician and investigate warranty requests to determine root cause and solution to help customer.
• Actively drive and participate in a culture of “Safety First”.
• Support product line quality, using and modifying quality check sheets, peer review processes, and NCR Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations.
• Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Wilsonville, OR facility will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have experience with AutoCAD, Inventor or similar related software.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in support of manufacturing through assignments in sales, inventory control, clerical, or production.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Familiarity with digital logic, control schematics, and/or PLC concepts.
• Experience designing and applying power distribution and/or motor control equipment.
• Prior engineering experience through internships or assignments in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with power distribution and familiarity with control schematics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
