Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a Production Engineer to analyze project documentation and input customer sales orders into Order Management System. You will coordinate with Manufacturing to purchase, manufacture, and ship orders, ensuring costs stay within contracted scope.

You will create and edit sales orders, ensure data accuracy, communicate order issues with customers, solicit quotes for panel and glass components, provide technical drawings, and maintain

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in order processing or project administration.
• Ability to read and understand technical, product and construction drawings.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, CAD.
• Excellent keyboarding skills and high math proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Creates and edits sales orders in accordance with selections of ordered products and options contractually agreed to by customer.
• Ensures data and documents are accurate and meet order schedule requirements for project release.
• Collaborates with Project Management to resolve order issues with external customers promptly.
• Provides documentation to internal teams to purchase and manufacture sales orders.
• Solicits quotes for pricing on panel, breakform, and security screens from procurement or vendors.
• Generates and provides technical drawings for breakform, fabrication, or glass.
• Maintains accurate files for Finance and Accounting related to sales orders.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Production Engineer is responsible to analyze project documentation and input customer sales orders into Order Management System. Also provides all material requirements and instructions to Manufacturing department to purchase, manufacture, and ship sales orders. Confirms costs of ordered materials are within original contracted scope.

Job responsibilities include:

• Creates and edit sales orders in accordance with selections of ordered products and options contractually agreed to by customer
• Ensures quality and accuracy of data and documents generated while meeting order schedule requirements for project release.
• Works with Project Management to communicate order issues to external customers in timely manner to quickly resolve questions or issues on job definition
• Provides and communicates with, internal customers, all documentation and information to purchase and manufacture sales orders.
• Solicits quotes, through the procurement department or vendors, for accurate pricing on panel, breakform, and security screens
• Generate and provide for Purchasing and Manufacturing job specific technical drawings for breakform, fabrication, or glass
• Maintain accurate files and record keeping for the Finance and Accounting departments as it relates to sales order.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in fenestration industry ideal
• Experience in Soft Tech V6 order management system a plus
• Associates degree in technical discipline like Engineering or equivalent experience in area relating to order processing or project administration.
• Ability to read and understand technical, product and construction drawings
• Computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, CAD
• Excellent keyboarding skills
• Excellent math skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
