Job summary

depthfirst Inc. is seeking an experienced front-end focused Product Engineer to lead the build of an AI-native platform that autonomously finds and fixes software vulnerabilities in code. You will design and develop our web app used by large customers to detect and remediate vulnerabilities at scale.

You will drive product direction, understand users, and reimagine how organizations approach security with a frontend-centric mindset and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end engineering, with a deep understanding of React and JavaScript/TypeScript, Postgres (Neon).
• Knowledge of Next.js is a bonus.
• Proven experience optimizing large-scale web applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Expertise in developing reusable UI frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP, browser rendering pipelines, and web performance metrics.
• Attention to detail, product mindset and a desire to build user-centric products

• Work on a Product that Solves a Critical Problem - and we already have large customers using us who have found some eye-opening vulnerabilities within the first few days of using our product.

About this role

We're seeking an experienced front-end focused Product Engineer to lead the charge in building the world’s first AI-native platform that autonomously finds and fixes software vulnerabilities in your code. You will work on developing and designing our web app, already serving many large customers, finding and remediating vulnerabilities at scale. You'll play a central role in driving the product, understanding the user, and reimagining how companies do security.
