Job summary

Job description

Essential Functions
  1. Analyze OEM drawings and quotations, design and develop process flow charts, engineering requirements, manage APQP files.
  2. Evaluate customer engineering changes, change tools and documents, manage the engineering changes.
  3. Plan and define new products, convert to company documents and standards.
  4. Organize the production team and follow up with the reviews and inspections.
  5. Develop the tool from design until buy off, including molds/Assemble fixtures/Checking fixtures.
  6. Develop the process, track open issues until being fixed.
  7. Improve the manufacturing process and monitor the process flow chart.
  8. Follow up in OEM plants related to product functionality, improve the parts to meet customer expectation.
  9. Assist in the Support activities for all phases of prototype, pre‑production and production start‑up through vehicle launch, plus 3 months.
Competencies
  • Personal Computer literate, with analytical decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Must have training in:

  • FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis).

Must be familiar with:

  • IATF 16949.
  • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Through understanding of Automotive procedures and processes.
  • Previous Automotive Injection molding Experience.
  • Thorough understanding of Fuyao products, specifications, and tolerances.
Supervisory Responsibility
  1. Serve as a coach and mentor for this position in the department.
Work Environment
  • Internal: Office/workshops in plant.
  • External: Various business divisions/client area.
  • Must be above 18 years old.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Skills
  • Mechanical Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Stations (CATIA V5 or UG NX).
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate in Engineering or Engineering Tech. with one+ year’s experience in automotive body/component development.
