Job summary

Actalent in Oklahoma City is seeking a Product Engineer to join a growing valve engineering team. You will design, size, and support highly engineered valve products used in oil & gas and process control, collaborating with customers and cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, industrial equipment, or process control environments.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Experience with valve sizing calculations and engineering documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Oklahoma City area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and valve selection recommendations for customer applications
  • Perform valve sizing calculations per API 520 and ANSI/ISA S75.01 standards
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation using SolidWorks
  • Process engineering changes (ECRs/ECNs) and support product configuration management
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve design and production challenges
  • Support product development, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop assembly, testing, and manufacturing procedures
  • Provide technical training and support to internal teams and customers
  • Troubleshoot product performance and application issues to deliver effective solutions

Job description

Join a growing engineering team supporting highly engineered valve products used in oil & gas, refining, industrial, and process control applications. This role combines product design, valve sizing, technical problem-solving, and manufacturing support while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and valve selection recommendations for customer applications
  • Perform valve sizing calculations in accordance with API 520 and ANSI/ISA S75.01 standards
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation using SolidWorks
  • Process engineering changes (ECRs/ECNs) and support product configuration management

  • AutoCAD and ERP/MRP system experience
  • Customer-facing applications engineering experience
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and welding processes

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position in the Oklahoma City area. You'll work in a collaborative manufacturing environment alongside engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to support innovative valve and flow control products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
