Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer II to support the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems for next-generation medical devices. This is a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary role focused on assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and validating complete prototype systems while supporting the transition of products from R&D into Operations and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate complete prototype systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues.
- Load software onto hardware and perform functional testing.
- Test PCBAs, wiring, and electrical components using standard test equipment.
- Verify mechanical fit, functionality, and overall system performance.
- Perform system integration, verification, and validation testing.
- Support production engineering activities, product transfers, and manufacturing process development.
- Analyze production issues, customer returns, and implement design or process improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, and cross‑functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Utilize AI tools to improve engineering workflows and support project activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or system integration.
- Strong hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and system integration.
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues.
- Experience with verification and validation testing.
- Understanding of medical device regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in robotics, automation, medical devices, semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, or other complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience working in startups or small companies where engineers supported multiple engineering disciplines.
- Hands‑on experience with PCBAs, wiring, oscilloscopes, and electrical test equipment.
- Mechanical or Electrical Technicians looking to transition into engineering will also be considered.
- Robotics system integration experience is highly preferred.
- Join the team during the first full‑system prototype build.
- Support system integration throughout verification and validation activities.
- Assist with transferring prototype builds from R&D to Operations.
- Work within a project team of approximately 200 members while collaborating closely with lead engineers and Operations.
