Job description

We’re looking for a Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and business impact. In this role, you’ll be the technical owner of financial products built on third‑party platforms—driving the roadmap, shaping solution architecture, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring our products perform reliably at scale.

You’ll partner closely with business teams to unlock efficiency, accelerate adoption, and translate technical capabilities into measurable value. You’ll also play a critical role in resiliency, risk management, and lifecycle planning—ensuring our platforms remain secure, stable, and future‑ready.

If you’re energized by solving hard problems, influencing enterprise technology direction, and owning products end‑to‑end, this role offers the autonomy, visibility, and impact you’re looking for.

What You’ll Do
Technical Product Leadership
  • Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and execution for financial products built on vendor platforms.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable technical plans, epics, features, and user stories.
  • Define and track KPIs such as uptime, SLA adherence, defect trends, and performance metrics.
Platform Stability & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement telemetry and monitoring to capture usage analytics, error rates, latency, and SLA compliance.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis, defect triage, regression testing, and preventive control design.
  • Conduct post‑release reviews and retrospectives to drive continuous platform enhancement.
Business Partnership & Workflow Optimization
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to map workflows, identify pain points, and uncover efficiency opportunities.
  • Design and pilot technical solutions that reduce manual effort, streamline processes, and consolidate redundant tools.
  • Document updated procedures and measure realized benefits such as cycle‑time reduction and error‑rate improvements.
Roadmap Ownership & Upgrade Planning
  • Maintain a forward‑looking 12–24‑month roadmap balancing innovation, technical debt, compliance, and user experience.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, API changes, and cloud component updates.
  • Partner with architecture and security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Technology Rationalization
  • Assess overlapping tools and single‑use technologies to evaluate cost, risk, and user experience.
  • Recommend and lead consolidation strategies, phased migrations, coexistence models, and decommissioning activities.
  • Embed resiliency requirements into technical design, including RTO/RPO targets, failover patterns, and backup/restore processes.
  • Own technical business continuity and disaster recovery documentation; lead tabletop exercises and failover tests.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure proper control coverage, including SOX‑significant responsibilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and compliance obligations for third‑party technology platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional technology teams to ensure cohesive delivery and architectural consistency.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of experience in product engineering, technical product ownership, business analysis, or solution engineering within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, financial technology platforms, and technical product delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Experience working with vendor platforms, APIs, cloud components, and enterprise architecture standards.
