Job summary

Productive Resources is seeking an engineer to join our Fuquay-Varina, NC facility to perform basic product design, testing and analysis for a defined portion of a project. You will operate in a team environment, contribute to design reviews, and develop solutions within established guidelines for supervision review.

Qualifications

Job description

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customers facility in Fuquay-Varina, NC As a member of our team, the right candidate will perform basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operate in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develop recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

• Develop and implement design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance of existing products.
• Manage the implementation of multiple moderate scope projects on a common timeline tied to a pre-determined implementation date.
• Identify the root cause of identified issues and develop corrective actions to resolve them.
• Collaborate within a cross functional ream to provide engineering support.

Requirements:

• Proficient in 3D CAD, other engineering tools & systems (Creo, Windchill, SAP, ANSYS, etc.).
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems and the ability to troubleshoot them.
• Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T.
• Experience taking designs from ideas to fully implemented into production.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Agricultural or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred:

• Advanced engineering degree.
• Experience with commercial mowing products or parallel industries.
• Experience with gasoline and diesel engines and engine systems.
• Experience with design for manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and or six sigma methodologies.
